Accounting Technician

This is a client-facing accounting support role within a public accounting environment. You will prepare working papers, perform bookkeeping and payroll tasks, and assist with file completion while managing multiple client engagements. The position requires technical proficiency with common accounting software and the ability to handle diverse accounting responsibilities with accuracy.

What you will be doing

• Prepare client working papers including bank reconciliations, technical accounting schedules, and supporting documentation
• Process payroll including data entry, validation, and testing
• Perform ongoing bookkeeping and accounting analysis following established procedures
• Respond to queries from team members and update client files accordingly
• Complete general ledger management and account reconciliations
• Leverage technology to improve processes and service delivery

What the role requires

• Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
• 1+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting experience
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 50, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in a public accounting environment
