This Manager of Assurance role involves leading multiple concurrent assurance and advisory engagements from planning through completion, including client relationship management and file review. You will supervise staff, serve as the year-round client contact at the management level, and contribute to practice growth through business development activities.
What you will be doing
- Plan, conduct, staff, and review multiple simultaneous assurance and advisory engagements
- Manage client relationships at the management level as the year-round contact point
- Review files, analyze work in progress, and prepare invoices
- Supervise and coach junior staff, including participation in recruiting and professional development
- Identify value-added consulting opportunities and cross-sale prospects with existing clients
- Participate in business development activities and build a client referral network
- Prepare or review audit, review, and compilation engagement files including financial statements
What the role requires
- Minimum 5 years of public practice experience, preferably in a mid-sized environment
- Proven ability to manage engagements independently from start to finish
- Experience supervising and developing staff accountants
- Demonstrated client relationship management at the management level
